This is for everyone who is a leader at St. Paul’s UMC. We will have an opportunity to learn about the areas of responsibility for each committee and ministry team, to look at a calendar for 2019 and plan events that will further the ministry of St. Paul’s and bring people to Christ.

Mission Trips

Each fall we undertake a local mission project. We also send people to locations across the state, nation, and world. In the last four years we have sent teams to do tornado cleanup and for work at Cookson Hills, the Boys Ranch, Haiti, Bolivia, and the Holy Land.

Family Promise of Lawton

Church hosts homeless families 4-6 weeks per year. Bedrooms are set up in church, meals are provided, and church members serve as hosts. Many volunteers needed.

Emmaus/Kairos/Torch Leadership

Members serve on local and international boards for these ecumenical groups. Many more serve on Walks and Weekends.

Sewing for UMCOR Kits/Prayer Shawls

Group of people who sew/crochet/knit layette kits for UMCOR and provide prayer shawls for people who are ill.

St. John’s Feeding Ministry

Provide a hot lunch to over 100 people each month. Help needed to prepare & serve food.

Cameron University Wesley Foundation (aka Cameron Campus Ministry)

Provide financial support, hot meals or snacks, by serving on their boards, and by leading worship as requested.

Many individuals and families purchase gifts for children of incarcerated parents and help deliver them during December.

Circle of Care

Circle of Care provides support to children and youth who are in foster care or “at risk”. Members contribute financially or by becoming foster families.


Parntership with local school

In the fall we have an underwear drive for children in early elementary.  We also collect Boxtops for Education.  Other opportunities to work with the local school as needed

Faith in Action

One day each year, we go out to serve the community by volunteering at various shelters and agencies across Lawton.

Redemption Church

We serve hot meals at Aldersgate Redemption United Methodist Church several times a year. Aldersgate ministers to local prisoners, to people who have been recently released, and to their families. Several of our members are also weekly volunteers there.

Orion's Boy's Home We offer Bible Study every week for the boys who are housed at Orion Boys Group Home.  We also take them out for meals and baseball games, and invite them to help with major events in our church.  Several of these boys have made professions of faith and have received the sacrament of baptism.
